Privacy Policy

HiServe Hub ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://hiservehub.com (the "marketing site") and the web application at https://app.hiservehub.com (the "app"). We are committed to NDPR-conscious data handling. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

1. What we collect

1.1 Marketing site (waitlist)

When you join our waitlist we collect the information you submit: your name, email address, phone number, which platform you're interested in (artisan, mall, or both), and your Lagos area or state. We do not collect browsing data on the marketing site beyond standard server logs (IP, user agent, request path) retained for security and abuse prevention.

1.2 App

To use HiServe Hub we collect account information (name, email, phone), identity verification documents and information for artisans and sellers (for example NIN and business documentation), the listings, bookings, and orders you create, messages you send within the app, and payment metadata for escrow transactions. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.

2. How we use your data

  • To notify you when your area goes live and to create your account when you onboard.
  • To verify artisans and sellers before they're listed.
  • To operate bookings, orders, escrows, in-app messaging, and dispute resolution.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
  • To communicate with you about your account, transactions, and platform changes.

3. Legal basis & sharing

We process your data based on the consent you give when joining the waitlist or creating an account, and on the necessity of processing to provide the service and comply with legal obligations under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate (for example hosting, payments, and messaging infrastructure) who process it on our behalf under appropriate obligations, and where required by law.

4. Data retention

Waitlist data is retained until you ask us to remove it or until it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected. Account and transaction data is retained for the lifetime of your account and for as long afterwards as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute obligations.

5. Your rights

Under the NDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@hiservehub.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encryption in transit. Identity documents and verification data are protected at row level in our database. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but our design choices favor least-privilege access.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices change. We'll reflect the update date above and, for material changes, notify active users in the app.
