Your money is held safely until the job is done.
Escrow is the core of trust on HiServe Hub. Instead of paying an artisan or a seller directly and hoping they deliver, your payment is held by us and released only when you've received what you paid for. It protects customers from losing money, and it protects honest artisans and sellers by confirming funds are real from the start.
Escrow in four steps
You pay into escrow
When you book an artisan or check out in the mall, your payment is collected and held safely by HiServe Hub, not paid directly to the provider or seller.
The work is done, or the order arrives
Your artisan completes the job, or your seller delivers the product. You review the result in the app.
You confirm, we release
Once you confirm you're happy, or the auto-release window passes with no dispute, the funds are released to the artisan or seller.
If something goes wrong
Open a dispute before release. Our team reviews the booking or order and helps resolve it. Held funds protect you, not just the seller.
Booking an artisan
When you book a service, your payment is held in escrow for that booking. The artisan sees the job is funded and starts work. When the work is complete and you confirm, the payment is released. If the artisan never shows or the work is unsatisfactory, dispute before confirming.
Shopping the mall
When you order a product, your payment is held in escrow while the seller ships. When the order arrives and you confirm, or the auto-release window passes with no dispute, the seller is paid. If the product doesn't arrive or isn't as described, dispute before release.
Disputes
Disputes are reviewed by our team using the booking and order history. Because funds are still in escrow, we can refund you or release to the seller based on what actually happened, not who shouts loudest. This is what makes escrow more than a payment: it's a resolution mechanism.
The fine print
Escrow terms, windows, and dispute procedures are part of our Terms of Service. HiServe Hub facilitates holding and release; we are not a bank and escrow funds are handled under the terms agreed at checkout.
Escrow, step by step
Your money never goes straight to the provider. A few clear steps stand between you and losing it.
- 1
You pay in
When you book an artisan or check out in the mall, your payment is collected by HiServe Hub. It never goes straight to the provider or seller.
- 2
Held safely
We hold your money in escrow. The artisan sees the job is funded and starts work; the seller ships your order.
- 3
Released
Once you confirm, or the auto-release window passes with no dispute, the funds are released to the artisan or seller.
Something off? Open a dispute before release. Because the funds are still in escrow, we can refund you based on what actually happened, not who shouts loudest.
